The band was formed in Spring 2010 by founding members Kev Farish (bass) and Paul Mackay (guitar). Kev has been in a number of bands over the years playing at various festivals in the UK and has previously supported Dr Feelgood and Nine Below Zero. Paul has also been in a number of bands, with his previous band opening the 2007 Maryport Blues Festival on the main stage. Paul is a degree qualified guitar teacher and also runs his own recording studio. He's an extremely accomplished guitarist and can play in any style. Our young drummer - Sam Allen - has completed music grade 8 and is currently studying for a music degree at Leeds College of Music, but continues to be part of the Crow Dog rhythm section.
Crow Dog plays an innovative mix of classic, contemporary, and original blues, based on superb musicianship. All the band have music qualifications and prides itself on performing exceptional blues material and well-crafted original songs with stunning guitar work, a tight rhythm section and clean vocal harmonies.

Crow Dog received a very complimentary review from Gordon Morris, of our gig at the 2014 Sandside Summertide Festival. Gordon chatted to us after the gig and explained that he was a good friend of the late great Rory Gallagher. Click here to view or download Gordon's review of that gig in pdf format.
